2023 U.S. Department of Education National Blue Ribbon School
Washington Global has been named a 2023 U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School! Washington Global provides students from historically underserved Washington, DC communities with a high-quality, internationally-focused education.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing the achievement gap. The U.S. Department of Education describes National Blue Ribbon Schools as “high-performing schools and schools that are making great strides in closing any achievement gaps between students.” Each year, the District has the ability to nominate up to three (3) traditional public, public charter, or private schools for consideration to the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program.
2022 Bold Performance Schools Awardee
Washington Global has been awarded the prestigious Bold Performance Schools Award by EmpowerK12. The award recognizes Washington Global’s outstanding performance on the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) Statewide Standardized Assessment, which is taken by every public charter school and traditional public school in DC. EmpowerK12’s report ranks Washington Global as the #1 middle school in DC on its Bold Performance Schools list based on our school’s PARCC performance.
2024 DC Math Bright Sports Awardee
EmpowerK12 has recognized Washington Global PCS as a DC Bright Spot school in its report for our strong math performance. Washington Global PCS integrates highly engaging project-based learning and blended learning into its math program to engage and cultivate future mathematicians.
